Was HRT a stroke risk or not?
Forbes Health News reports that after the drop in HRT usage post 2002, while there may have been a drop in breast cancer and heart attack in women, we have not seen the same expected drop in the incidence of stroke.
A study by researchers at Rand Corporate to be released in the May issue of Medial Care reports that there has been no decrease at all. Now some are thinking that the decrease in heart attacks may not have been due to decreease in HRT usage at all but entirely co-incidental given the timing coincided with awareness campaigns for heart health run by several major organizations.

As one doctor said it is an interesting proposition but given this was an observational study it cannot be considered conclusive.
