Australian researchers were the first to create a test to predict menopause but now Iranian researchers claim they have a more accurate version. Based on measuring the level of anti-Mullerian hormone which controls the development of eggs, they say they can predict menopause within months of accuracy using a mathematical formula. We are born with our egg supply. We get our periods. We use our eggs. Our periods stop. Simple as that.

A recent article in the UK mail online kind of answers your questions reveals how wrong “it’s all about the eggs” was!
Dr Shirley Bond stated: “Despite myths to the contrary, taking the Pill for a long time won’t delay your menopause, even though you won’t be ovulating for many years. The end of your periods does not bear any relation to the number of eggs you have left; it’s caused by a change in your hormone balance. A post-menopausal woman can still have lots of unreleased eggs in her ovaries.”
Who knew? Obviously not me!
