Raquel Welch … beyond the pale
Raquel Welch has gone below beyond the cleavage and covered getting older and … menopause … in her new book.
In her interview with Reuters, she reassures us fading non-sex symbols that we are not alone with our fears and anxieties on aging and that if she (and her money) can surmount them then so can we.
According to Rachel “I represent beauty, an idealized look to women and so they follow me when I do things”.
And if we are not convinced of her self-confidence at 69 then the airbrushed photo on the cover of her new book should reinforce the message of how proud she is that she is “holding together just fine”.
Of course the subject of cosmetic surgery does comes up. But apparently she is not willing to go above the cleavage and reveal anything much on that one. She claims any work she had done was “minimum”. So it must be that one and a half hours a day of yoga that has worked such miracles. Oh and the botox.
